2. Scope of Products, Licensing & Developer Access
This shop offers standalone digital downloads, SaaS software framework subscriptions, and source code access licenses:
- Minecraft Mods & Standalone Assets: Autonomous compiled digital products. Delivery is instantaneous and automated upon payment confirmation.
- Software Framework (SaaS License): Grant of a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, temporary, and revocable license to run compiled framework binaries on authorized servers managed via
panel.niwer.dev. - Developer Access (Source Code License): Optional supplementary subscription tied to an active SaaS License, granting private, non-exclusive, revocable access to the Niwer's Engine source code (via dedicated private GitHub repositories). This access is strictly limited to studying, customizing, integrating, extending, and debugging the engine for the Subscriber's own authorized server or game projects.
3. Intellectual Property & Strict Source Code Restrictions
- No Transfer of Ownership: Subscribing to Developer Access DOES NOT CONSTITUTE a sale, transfer, or assignment of intellectual property rights. The source code, architecture, internal tools, and technical documentation remain the exclusive property of Erwin Redoté.
- Redistribution & Non-Compete Restrictions: Subscribers are strictly prohibited from selling, sublicensing, distributing, publishing, leaking, or making publicly available any portion of the source code. The Subscriber shall not use the source code to design, commercialize, or distribute a competing engine or modding framework.
- Protection of Bundled Assets: Access to source code grants no rights to extract, isolate, modify standalone, or redistribute non-code assets bundled with the engine (such as the
/resources/assets directory, 3D models, textures, audio files, or sample Content Packs). - Authorized Personnel & Joint Liability: The Subscriber may grant source code access to Authorized Personnel (employees, contractors) solely for the development needs of authorized projects. The Subscriber stands guarantor for their team's strict compliance and remains solely, personally, and jointly liable for any breach, leak, or unauthorized disclosure caused by an invited collaborator.
- Core Contributions & Bug Fixes: The Subscriber retains intellectual property over independent scripts and modules developed on top of the API. In consideration for Developer Access, for any bug fixes, optimizations, or core modifications submitted or integrated into the core engine, the Subscriber grants Erwin Redoté a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable, and irrevocable license to use, adapt, commercialize, and redistribute such contributions within Niwer's Engine, with no moral rights enforceable against necessary software evolutions.
- Mandatory Attribution & Credit Clause ("Powered by Niwer's Engine"): In consideration for the usage rights and Developer Access granted hereunder, the Subscriber explicitly agrees to visibly maintain software attribution and copyright credits:
- In-Game / Menus: The notice "Powered by Niwer's Engine" (or the official provided logo) must remain prominently displayed within main menus, loading screens, or user-accessible credit sections of the project.
- Media & Promotional Content: For any official promotional trailer, gameplay showcase video, public documentation, or website promoting the game or server utilizing the Software, the Subscriber agrees to explicitly state that the project is powered by Niwer's Engine and include a link to
niwer.dev. - Prohibition of False Attribution: The Subscriber is strictly prohibited from removing, obscuring, or claiming false authorship/ownership over the underlying software framework and engine architecture.

5. Waiver of Withdrawal Right, Cancellation & Revocation
In accordance with Article VI.53, 13° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law regarding digital content not supplied on a tangible medium:

- Customer Cancellation: Subscriptions can be canceled at any time via the Stripe billing manager or user portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the active billing period, with no prorated refunds for unused days.

6. Service Availability & Warranty Disclaimer
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Erwin Redoté shall not be held liable for third-party service disruptions (GitHub, web hosting providers, Stripe), platform compatibility breaks caused by major upstream updates to Minecraft or Java, or indirect damages (loss of profits, data loss) resulting from custom modifications made by the customer.
